Primary Care Center

The Primary Care Center is a group practice staffed by faculty physicians, resident physicians and nurse practitioners. Resident physicians are doctors who have finished medical school and are continuing their training within The MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center Residency Program.
Our practice provides ongoing medical care for adults and adolescents 14 years and older. We can help you meet your basic healthcare needs. The services we offer include:
- women's health
- blood tests
- physicals
- immunizations
- check-ups
- pre-surgery testing
- health screenings
- long-term disease care
We also offer specialty services including cardiology, endocrinology, geriatrics, neurology and rheumatology. If necessary, we can refer you for specialized treatment within MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center or one of our affiliates. If you have an immediate health problem or need help managing a chronic health condition, the Primary Care Center is here for you.
Quick and Useful Wellness Tools
When you first visit the Primary Care Center, you will be asked to complete a Health Risk Assessment form. You may complete the form before you arrive; download the Health Risk Assessment form here.
We accept most major insurance plans, and participate in several HMOs, Medicare and medical assistance programs. We also offer a sliding scale fee schedule for patients who qualify.
Patient appointment hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on major holidays in addition to the following:
- We are closed the day after Thanksgiving.
- We close at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and are closed the day after Christmas.
- We close at 2 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
- We are closed from 9-11 a.m. every second Thursday of the month.
Free blood pressure checks are offered on the first, third and fourth Thursday of each month from 9 - 11 a.m.
