Why am I getting a bill from Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services when I have never been there or do not recall this service?

Your outpatient or inpatient specimen has been referred to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, Inc. for evaluation and our Pathologist or laboratory, under his/her supervision, has prepared a diagnostic report or analyzed a body fluid (blood, urine, miscellaneous).

The Pathology professional fee is incorporated into the hospital's global fee which includes the Institution's technical fee. We contract with most commercial and third party payers, including PPO's and HMO's.
